So..

Shes a 97 firebird formula that came with a TA rear from the factory ...ive never seen one or head of one and it looks cool !so i bought it about 4 months ago and cant afford to drive it !

she has a K&N CAI, Pacesetter 1 3/4 LTs, ORY , slp loudmouth 2 ,MSD opti ,Taylor 8.2 wires, ac delco plugs ,160 thermostat,drilled and sloted rotors with ceramic pads, all less then a 1000 miles ago...

two ten inch subs ,amp and deck all Pioneer

when purchased she had a rebuilt 4l60e from jasper with a shift kit thats pretty nasty actully...UMI tower brace,UMI torque arm , UMI weld in SFC , 3.73s and a fiberglass hood ..royal purple twice since ive had her and ran a best of 14.1 with a 2.3 60ft bald street tires! have been replaced since ..and she made 259hp 303tq the the wheels on a local dyno at hot August nights

3500 firm! OR trade ..lemme know what you have ..would LOVE a notch

Just so you know formulas never came that way but I agree the TA parts look soo much nicer. Glws

ive talked to both owners befor me nether one painted or touched the body....i ran the vin..and it comes up as a formula ! strange i know if anyone has some info on this fill me in ! i couldent find anything about a formula coming from the factory like this

The VIN# cant tell you if it's a formula or a trans am, in fact, it will probably say both depending on where you run it at. "Pontiac Firebird Trans am Formula" or something to that effect.

Only the RPO codes list in the door jam can tell you if its a Formula or a Trans am

RPO Codes:
W66 is the Formula Merchandise Pkg
Y82 is the Trans Am Merchandise Pkg
WS9 is the "formula conversion" (just meaning its a V8 car basically)

so...
WS9 and W66 = Formula
WS9 and Y82 = Trans Am
