LS Swapped 72 chevelle $8500
Year: 1972
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Chevelle
Price: $9500
Mileage: 32000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): MO
Color: Blue
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
For sale is my 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu. This was an original 350 2 barrel with a 3 speed auto when it left the factory. I purchased it in 2000 and it was an original Southern California car, built in Van Nuys. It was moved to Missouri and sat for a few years and the paint was unfortunately destroyed during that time. About the car
2004 Tahoe 5.3 swapped in. 4l60e
Holley 302-2 oil pan
Dirty dingo "double d" conversion mounts
Anchor engine mounts
Fbody water pump
Dirty Dingo water pump spacers, power steering pulley
98-02 ls1 radiator and e fans
Hedman LS mid-length swap headers (tube had to be dented to clear the steering)
FTI 3200 stall converter
24000# trans cooler and braided lines
Chevelle EFI conversion gas tank
6an braided lines (these are not permanently mounted. I was contemplating moving up to 8an)
Pypes 3" ss x pipe
Hooker pro flo 3" mufflers
Vintage air ac kit (installed and works. Has not been charged yet)
Besides motor stuff it has:
Original driveline that was cut down, new u joints
New brake lines, master cylinder, booster, braided lines to calipers
New quick ratio steering box
New rear AMD bumper
New driver door lower hinge
New horn relay
New front and rear tires
New KYB shocks front and rear
New front Scat pro car front seats (passenger side is still in the box)
What it needs:
- Body Work. It needs front fender lower patches, and I personally would do full quarters but you can get away with lower patches.
- The guy who installed my front/rear windows used way too much damn window glue. I would have them re-done.
- Windows need to be re-aligned in the doors
- Interior. I gutted the interior about 5-6 years ago as everything was pretty nasty. I kept the original center console to put back in it.
Car runs and drives as is. To be road legal will need new ball joints up front and get the horn working. I have a lot of time, money, and memories in this car. I will NOT sell to a 16 year old looking for a first car, I'm not going to let this car be treated that way. Just the same, I'm not going to sell it to someone who is going to make a drag car out of it. Not going to happen.
