2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 (complete LS1 rebuild & tons of quality mods)
Year: 2002
Make: Pontiac
Model: Trans Am
Price: $12000
Mileage: 190000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): CA
Color: Silver
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine
I am the second owner (purchased in 2010)
Body has 190 k miles (paint 8/10) (interior 8/10)
Motor was rebuilt top to bottom at 160k miles ( original block with new internals including Forged Pistons)
Transmission was rebuilt by Abel Chevrolet at 155k miles
Motor was rebuilt when the oil pump failed which caused damage. Only the block was re-used and it was torn down, inspected, and stuffed with new internals. The entire rebuild parts/labor cost me 8k. I have all documentation of all major work done to the car.
I've only used Mobil 1 5w-30 synthetic every 4k miles since I've owned it
Car has been a mild cam /exhaust only car since I've owned it, was 100 pct stock when I purchased it. It has had 2 camshafts, the first was an EPS 222/226 smog legal set up. After the rebuild I went with a slightly bigger camshaft in a 224/228 114 LSA and it still passed emissions here in CA.
Many of you have seen this car and can attest to it's simple yet clean look. And many of you have also heard it, one of the best sounding F Bodies imo
Camshaft
224/228 @ 114 LSA, can't recall the lift off the top of my head, will verify tomorrow
Heads:
Ported 241's
SLP Cold Air Intake
Suspension
Koni Adjustable Shocks (yellows)
Strano Springs
UMI welded subframes
UMI Lower Control Arms
UMI Relocation Brackets
Clutch:
LS7 Clutch installed at around 110k miles.
Tick Master mod was also done.
Exhaust
GMMG Chambered Exhaust
BBK Long Tubes
BBK Catted Y-Pipe
Cosmetic
BlackBird Decal Stripes on the hood
Painted CETA Lower Bumper mod (gloss black)
PONTIAC rear lettering (high quality inserts, not the cheap crap)
**Tuned by Rick @ Synergy Motorsports.
Car Dynoed roughly at 390 rwhp/ 380 lb ft with low miles on the motor after the build
**Recently(2months ago) installed a lower mileage 10 bolt that was in mint shape from Jaws Gear and Axle in Sacramento
I am selling because it's just not practical for my commute any longer. Also saving for a wedding/ house ( you know how that goes)... Not desperate to sell the car, but entertaining all reasonable offers. NOT INTERESTED IN TRADES either.
