Default 1998 Camaro Z28 LS1 Sport Gold Metallic Project car

Year: 1998
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Camaro
Price: $3800
Mileage: 122700
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): PA
Color: Gold
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

I am selling my 1998 Camaro Z28 T-top car. It's Sport Gold Metallic(rare) with neutral(tan) leather interior. This was a 1998 color only. It's equipped with an LS1 engine and 4l60E auto transmission. It's been a project of mine for about 10 years and it's time to let it go. I bought the car with a bad engine and put in a low mileage(42,000 miles) LS1 engine. When I put the engine in, I replaced all the gaskets, including GM mls head gaskets and new head bolts. I also replaced the fuel pump with a racetronix high performance pump and wire kit. The car is all stock. Still has stock exhaust with cats/egr system/smog system/etc.It also has factory GM monsoon stereo system with CD head unit and 12 disc CD changer in trunk.
It is a project car and still needs some work including, but not limited to, the following:
It has a blown brake line and will need all new ones.
Windshield is cracked.
Carpet is stained and stinks from mice. Will need replaced
Front fenders and bumper are loosely bolted on and need finished. Headlights also need attached(may need new brackets). The car was damaged in the front(above the frame) sometime in it's life. It doesn't appear to be very bad but may need some repair to get the headlights mounted correctly.

Basically the car could be put back on the road or used for parts. LS1 engines are very popular for swaps and this one is complete. I have a video of the engine running. I believe the transmission is original to the car, with 122,000 miles. I would recommend that the transmission be rebuilt. It goes into gear fine but sometimes the rpm's climb before it engages. It may be fine.
The car does run and drive but it's not roadworthy because of the bad brake line so you can't drive it home.
I'm asking $3800 or best offer for the car as it sits.
I will sell it for $1500 as a roller which means no engine/no transmission/no harness or pcm/no exhaust
Low ball offers will be ignored. I know what complete low mileage LS1 engines go for.
If it doesn't sell, I will continue working on it or part it out.

Bump!!
Might sell it as a roller if someone wants it like that. I'll keep my drivetrain for something else. $1500 as a roller.
