High Mileage? Yes and No
Some would say that 152,000 is just getting started.

1994 Impala SS
My 94 Impala SS (LT1) has 274,000 miles on it. Original engine & tranny, never rebuilt, overhauled, or anything! (knock on wood) I drive it just about every day and don't exactly baby it around.
The only thing i've had to replace (knock on wood, again) are the torque converter & bushing because it started blowing tranny fluid everywhere. The only other thing in the driveline that has gone bad is the posi unit.
Aside from all of the good news about the drivetrain, there have been many other things that have gone bad on the car. One thing after another. I think before the engine dies the frame and body will be rotted bad enough where it won't get an inspection sticker.

I have 156K+ miles on my Impala. It runs strong and I still get 25 mpg on the highway. These motors will last forever if they are taken care of. Even my original opti lasted till 115K+ miles. I just changed it and the water pump just for maintenance. I even have stock rear end and tranny. Tranny has zero metal in fluid.
