I'm finishing up a 5.3 Vortec swap into my Jeep CJ7. I'm swapping the LS1 intake for the Vortec intake. The engine is a 99 but flashed as an 02 so it will not require the EGR. When I take it to the referee, will he give me crap for the EGR block off? Also, if I cover over the EGR block off with resin and paint over it, would that disguise it enough to pass?
the ls1 fuel rail wont work with harness because of the bosch style injectors( different connectors), other than that i thought there was no cali referees or something anymore, i forgot what i heard. Sounds like a great swap tho
the fuel rail mounting points are different, i could be wrong on the injectors just because i havent messed with the 5.3s but the 6.0s are def different, the only way to get around it is wire on the bosch connectors or moybe theres a way of moddin the vortec fuel rail, or putting an aftermarket fuel rail on
