Selling all my LTx Stuff converting to LQ9, anyone have recommendations?
I have all my LTx stuff listed for sale in the main classifieds as I have decided to convert to an LQ9 build. So I thought I would ask around where to find everything I am looking for:
2002 and below LQ9 Motor Complete or minus the Intake Manifold (I was told newer LQ9's have a longer crank which causes problems)
T56 LSx Style with Throwout Bearing and all needed parts to switch over from the LTx Style setup. (My car was a T56 before just the LTx style obviously)
LS6 or maybe better Intake manifold
Better Throttle Body
Wiring Harness pieces required for the change over.
LSx Oil pan (Too bad my LTx does not fit)
Lots of small odds and ends for the conversion.
If anyone knows where too pick up the block I want or the tranny etc let me know. The closer the better I can drive to get it.
Thanks!!!
(Goals are to upgrade the cam, valve springs and push rods and shoot for 500HP NA at the crank while preping for a 100 shot wet)
(I already have a 2000 Firebird ECU and Coil Packs)

I will be ordering my motor this week and starting to get bolt ons etc.
I thought these truck headers were some of the best flowing stock heads, I was thinking about milling them alittle get the CR up to 11:1 or so, using PRC Dual Springs and hardend push rods, obviously a bigger cam here I need advice because I am not familure with any LS/LQ cams.
Are the rod bolts known to be weak, I wanted to do ARP Head bolts rod bots should be an easy swap out so I might as well do them too.
