Default March 14th Motorgen Meet and PCH/Laguna Canyon Cruise

Monthly Motorgen Meet at Nick's Burger in Fullerton. Meet will start at 6:30p.m. The address for Nick's is:

Nick's Burger
1712 W. Orangethorpe Ave
Fullerton, CA 92833

We're going to do a PCH cruise before the meet. For everyone that wants to go plan on meeting at the lot across the street from Nick's at 4:00p.m. We will leave promptly at 4:30p.m. The cruise will take us down PCH to Laguna Canyon and then all the way back up to Nick's. We should arrive back in time for the meet to start at 6:30p.m.

Here is a copy of the route.
It should be a beautiful drive and with the time change we should be hitting the beach right around sunset. Details are in the thread here, and the event is on the calendar here. See you guys there

The weather is supposed to be in the 60's and sunny, so who wants to cruise?

Alright guys, Adam(Leedom), Sean(SoCalC55), Alexis(SexyLxy) and I drove the route tonight and it was really nice. If the weather is the same on Saturday as it was tonight I really envy all of you with verts!

So the plan once again is to meet at Nick's at 4P.M. Their is a gas station directly across the street so people can gas up before we leave. The address for Nick's is:

Nick's Burger
1712 W. Orangethorpe Ave
Fullerton, CA 92833

We are going to leave Nick's at 4:30P.M.

From Nick's we will head down the 5 South to the 55 South towards Newport. From Newport we'll be taking PCH for a little over 10 miles down to Laguna Canyon. Once we get to Laguna Canyon we will be turning right on El Toro Rd. From there we are going to meet up again at the BJ's in the Laguna Hills Mall before getting on the freeway back to Nick's. The address for the BJ's is:

BJ's Restaurant
24032 El Toro Road
Laguna Hills, CA 92653

The 5 North is right by BJ's and we'll all hop on it together and head back to Nick's for the meet. As I said, we took this route tonight and it was great - the beach was beautiful.

I will print up copies of the directions tomorrow for everyone and I'll hand them out before we leave. Here is the full route though for anyone interested. If anyone has any questions give me a call at 714-322-2324. I hope you all can join us, I'm really looking forward to it

In. Just know that Laguna Beach PD are uptight about large groups cruising through their town.

+1 - they don't mess around. I'll be going the speed limit along PCH for sure. Freeways +5 is fine but more is eh... asking for it in a large group of muscle

I'll be there if work allows. If I can locate all my machines before then I'm there!

I'm not planning on running the canyon at a million miles per hour or anything. The traffic is usually too dense anyway. I think the best part of the cruise is rolling down PCH anyway

Alright everyone, this is my final bump for this. I've had a lot of people say they're coming so it should be a really nice cruise with a variety of cool cars.

For those of you that just want to come to the meet at Nick's, we should be rolling back in there by 6:30p.m. For anyone that wants to meet at BJ's in Laguna Hills we should be hitting that right around 5:30p.m.

Here is a link to the event and that has my phone number if anyone has any questions. I have already made copies of the directions for anyone that needs them and I'll pass those out before we leave at 4:30p.m.

The weather looks to be perfect, so wash your car, gas up, and I'll see you tomorrow

Well it was a little bit overcast yesterday, but the cruise was a blast anyway!

I think we had about 20-25 cars on the cruise and probably 50 at the meet.

Here are some pictures from meeting up:

Pictures from the drive:

First meet up point:

All of us having dinner together at Nick's:

Also, here is a video of some of us leaving Nick's last night. My personal favorite part is at about the 2:36 mark where the Challenger SRT8 does a nice burnout and then gets honked at by a Honda Fit

We have lots of stuff coming up, so keep your eyes open for next month. The next meet will be April 11th. For all you AWD guys we'll be doing a dyno day for you because I owe you one. I'm going to finalize price and times tomorrow for it.

Thanks again to everyone that came. It was a great mix and good times!

The Motorgen monthly meet is welcome to all cars, although Honda's with huge wings, fender scoops, roof scoops, and crooked license plates may get a few quizzical looks. We have some imports (Mercedes, Infinitis and Nissans have showed) and domestic (Ford, GM, Chrysler, Dodge, etc.) show, but it's a nice mix. Pony cars are always welcome! Just look at the pics... lol
