Any real car enthusiast should own their own scanner...
I have a OBDII scanner as well, same ones that Autozone use to lend out. I'll scan codes for free. Once I get it back from my buddy's house that is.

A problem you are going to run into is you are not a sponsor, some people may not like this and this thread may get deleted. And a few of us here have this or have friends that can check this for us if we can't for free, my suggestion is wait for someone to post about having an issue and then PM them letting them know you have a scanner.

It's an invaluable tool to have at your disposal.
It's nice to read codes immediately and know what is happening to your car right away.

Ask any racer, any real racer. It doesn't matter if you scan codes by the tens or the thousands; scanning is scanning.

People do it for free man.

Try selling water from your faucet, or charging people to say "hi" to them.

I've seen a couple dealerships saying that they'll scan your codes for free now too. Just to get people walking in the door.

Thats cause you carry the magic dust in your car and that keeps the evil uncorn out of your manifold.
