Default Who can replace my ignition lock cylinder??

I need to replace the ignition lock cylinder on my T/A. I just ordered the parts I need from the dealer today and they should be here on Monday. I found a shop that can do it, but wanted to see if anyone on here knows how to do it and can help me install it. I need to get it done by next weekend.

Probably much easier and cheaper to get a steering column and bcm from a parts car.

I have the steering wheel removal tools I am in Hemet 92545 you can come use it at my house its not to hard if you are mechanically inclined. If it is just throwing the security light I know how to bypass the passlock and can fix it super cheap with some resistors and a soldering iron.

Hey, i am being locked out by the security light on my 98 a4. Security light flashing and acts like there is no juice to the starter. Everything else works great. How do you bypass the passlock so i can run it till it is fixed? I am in Vermont and really don't need the **** anyway. Any help would be appreciated. Freakin car show weekend here and have one car the heads went in, second brakes went in and now this. &^$&^%(* figures!

You have to soldier a resister that matches your key in between the wires that go to your bcm. There is a thread on here on how to do it.
