Default No health Insurance, where can I go see the doctor for low or no cost?

I have an ear ache that has been bothering me for the last couple days and thanks to my unemployment I no longer have health coverage.

Ive never not have coverage so Im clueless as to where to go and wat to ask for.

Where can I go? Is there an online link to hospitals that will examine me for free or at a reasonable cost?

Ive heard Harbor General in Torrence has some kind of setup I can go in and get a perscription for antibiotics and get out.

I live in Paramount near lakewood, long beach, downey, norwalk, area and would prefer somewhere somewhat local

I would say find an Urgent care place, I looked at my bill from there last time I went and my insurance only had to pay $95 and that was for my second visit for the throat infection I had.

Yea only if you guys knew how better they are other there. Everytime we need an operation we go over there. Your best bet is to go to a local famliy doctor that has his own place. Not a hosiptal but like a clinic.

go to http://www.anthem.com/ and buy a plan, it's month to month when you get insurance from an employer you can cancel it. it's expensive, but if you have an ear ache they are probably going to want to do tests and scans which add up. You will save in the long run.

I dunno I have not heard promising things about TJ dr.s they maybe less expensive but for surgeries? Just curious cause TJ might be an option for me. Well who knows how much longer I will be a So Cal person.

To what hlaalu said I can probably see about getting you insurance, my brother in law sells insurance of all kinds, it is a private company he runs and he can find you the best policy for you, he won't sell you **** you don't need and he can find a good deal as well. let me know if this is something you wouldn't mind even though I know you are unemployed, could be worth a try.

I don't go to tj. Only for medicines. 200 dollar medicines here are 40 over there. And I get operations done in guadalajara. They repair 3 lower discs on my moms back for about 5 grand out the door including air plane tickets, analysis, operation everything. Over here since we are self employed and don't have insurence. We would have payed about 55grand. And she's doing great! And even me I got operated for a hernia that was on my right kidney cuz I had a lot of pains and stuff. It was about 3500 out the door. Over here wasn't sure but a **** load more.

While there are literally hundreds of things that can cause ear pain, the vast majority are infections. And of these, the vast majority are viral, and there is exactly zip that we can do about them. Unless you have drainage from the ear, the infection is most likely viral.
Any ER will see you. But it's not cheap. Any urgent care center will see you, but while cheaper than an ER, it's not free. Most cities have some sort of community health center, which is often free, but not fast.

You do live in California so Mexico is a possibility.. Pharmacia for anti-biotics..

Seriously - I think you can walk into County and get free health care at any time. Any county hospital in your area will do.. Bust out the yellow pages look up hospitals and make some calls. Ask and you will get your answers..
