Default CalSpeed & Performance, Serving SoCal for all your LS1 performance &dyno tuning

I'd like to introduce our shop to any any non-locals of the Bakersfield, Southern California area since we just became a sponsor on LS1tech.

CalSpeed & Performance - located 3980 Saco Rd Suite H, Bakersfield, CA, 93308.

We've been in the LS1 performance business for 11 years since 2000 and we've held off being a LS1tech.com sponsor for quite some time due to worries of handling the extra customer base and high volume of daily phone calls advertising here would bring, but I welcome the opportunity to provide services and help for any customers local or nationwide.

Feel free to give us a call anytime 661-387-0403 mon-fri 9am-5pm.

Our shop is a a full LS1 performance, installation, chassis dyno tuning and fabrication shop that can handle any build from your daily driver 10-13 second car, to your 7-9 second street/race car/truck.

We are also one of the west coasts leading Fbody/GTO/Corvette salvage/parts suppliers. We supplied over 150 complete LS1/LS2/5.3/6.0/LS3/LS7 drivetrains to customers and other shops for their customers. On the average have 5-7 complete drivetrains in stock as well as any/every part you could need from the hundreds of Fbodies/GTO/C5/C6/CTS-V etc we salvaged/parted. We have dozens of complete front clips/suspension/rearends/interiors/exterior/body panels/wheels&tires in stock.

[b] Custom dyno/street wideband tuning for all GM based cars & trucks (Duramax's as well). I have tuned over 1000+ vehicles since I began LS tuning. I was a beta tester for the first LS1 tuning software: LS1Edit many years ago and Ive been tuning with HPTuners since its release. 1/2/3 bar setups. We offer chassis dyno tuning on a eddy current loading dyno.

I also do mail order tuning as well.

Yes, I tried to avoid breaking the non-sponsor rules before becoming a sponsor about posting shop info etc.

Hey Jim, you mentioned at the track that I should either run Dynatech's or just modify some 351 windsor headers...

what all needs to be modified on the headers? I have a set of 9.5 deck 2" headers off my old engine and other than changing the flange, is there any tubes that need to get modified?

thanks,

Damon

If you have some windsor headers, order a set of LS1 exhaust flanges to match your headers:

http://www.coneeng.com/pdf/Flanges%20and%20Gaskets.pdf

The spacing on the header tubes is the same. I would recommend getting your flanges off leaving as much possible on your tubes, hold it all in place and trim back the tubes till you get the header to fit like you want to the flange and fit the chassis etc.

Cool, thanks..

I have a set of 2" custom headers for a 351 in a fox body, just sitting in my garage doing nothing, so I am going to use those.
Plus I have a motor plate setup and all Racecraft stuff in the front, so I have a ton of room for headers...
