Default Stereo problems...(and another damn blown Window Motor..)

So today randomly all of the bass and loudness from my system went out...i have an 02 Z28 with the Monsoon...speakers aren't in great shape but they're still alright, so I'm thinking the amp blew out?

Anyone else experience this? Literally, when I crank the bass ALL the way on the radio or playing a CD, the sound quality turns to ****...radio has zero bass no matter what i do, and cd quality sounds awful.

hmmm well the amp powers the whole speaker so i think if the amp died, the speakers wouldn't work at all?

i don't think so...i tested each speaker individually with the balance and fade and they all seemed to work...i was thinking about upgrading to a new system but really don't have the money to do it quite yet.

I have an 01 Monsoon amp that I could get to you for $20 + shipping if you find out that you need one.

You'd probably have to change the wiring and more likely the speakers too. How many channels and is that 760 bridged?

yea monsoon is wired differently than regular speakers, so it's kind of one or the other.

my brother got in my car tonight because I was going to show him the problem, and it started working again...could a loose wire cause something like that? I just don't understand how it's an issue only with bass and loudness...that's why I think it's the amp
