Default Headlights always on?

Dumb Question. Whenever my car is running the headlights are on. The switch doesn't do anything. But when i turn in off, the switch can turn the headlights on and off. Isn't much of a problem but it's just kinda anoying. Any ideas?

http://xse.com/leres/ss/drl.html

this shows you how to disable your daytime running lights and give you controll of your headlights. It is really simple i just unplugged the thing when i had my car.

It's easy to do, I used that same website to do that to my car. Just be careful when you're lifting up the top part of your dash so as not to crack anything. Ask me how I know

I just unplugged that thing, i never lifted the dash. I dont really care for drl's and i wanted full controll of my headlights instead of the car. The break light being disabled did not bother me, you really should realize if you left your parking break on.

drl is daytime running lights, the orange lights that also work as your turn signals. Your car should have that like all the camaro's did i believe

no, it doesn't have a dashmatt. today when i was driving it the lights were off. but when the lights are on, so are the dashlights, like the gauges, ac/heater control. things like that.

When I was having charging issues, it would **** me off that putting the key in the ignition at night and attempting to start the car would try it with the lights on (not a good move if your battery is dead/dying). Then the other day my gf drove my car.
She drives a stick, so she put the eBrake on the other day.

I went to move the car that night and noticed my lights didn't come on until I put the eBrake handle down. I never knew that the lights wouldnt come on with ebrake up.
