Wife gives OK to go "All Out" on the SS or.....
Save for a Corvette (that will probably stay stock due to insufficient funds) to buy in my retirement years and spend very little modifying the SS from here to old age.
sorry for making it confusing so im re-editing for more simplicity.
wife says one or the other ( i guess she wants to live comfortable in our old age)- one kick *** camaro ss or having both that will stay stock
What would you do?

Your choices seem confusing to me, but I say; bird in the hand.
Don't be that guy saying, "I should have..." (I've done it tons of times) Be the guy that says, "I did...!"
Eitehr mod the SS, NOW or Buy the Vette, NOW!
Waiting on either just ensures that you don't do it.

Stock Corvettes are everywhere and unless they're 40 years old or more, are pretty common.

I am extremely happy with my vette, but if you have to wait for it id do some mods to the SS and save up. You never know what will happen down the road. If you are going to do big mods to the SS though (forged motor, 9", ect.) I suggest saving your old parts so later you can put your SS back to stock and sell it to help buy the vette and then you still have your good parts, you will NEVER get back what you put into mods.
