Default Just gettin some responses

So... here I am thinking ya know what would be cooler than having a rare 80's turbo 4 cyl car? having a 75 camaro with a 350 as a daily driver, I just emailed the guy to see if he would trade the camaro for the thunderchicken as he only want $1500 for the second gen.

History, I owned a 76 camaro in high school and regret selling it, I feel like a part of me is missing, sappy I know but that car is awesome. So i have been looking for a 74-77 camaro and most people who have hung out with me know this.

My question is, if you were in my spot and could possibly trade a car for another that you want but might not be as practical, would you?

Get the 75 camaro, get a stock LS1, swap your modded LS1 into the 75, swap the stock LS1 into the Camaro you have now. Done and done...

LOL no I will not put an LS1 in the second gen.. I am not a LS1 nut swinger, I want to build a SBC for it if I go that route, for now the 75 will be a driving resto project. my 00 z28 will be getting more goodies over the next couple years.

Assuming the guy bites and goes for the trade if not i gotta call my old boss and see if he would want to buy it from me.

You don't have to be a LS1 nut swinger to realize that LS1 > SBC...

I just like the nostalgiac reasons for keeping a sbc 350 in it, it will be a cruiser not a "race" car. I don't really like throwing LS1's into any car I can get my hands on, well maybe a 240sx... but that would be just for race lol.

i had a CLEAN 1990 240sx coupe in highschool, i put alot of work into that thing to make it look nice with fresh paint and a few tasteful mods, saved up the money to do a SR20 swap and the deal fell through. So i sold it, actually made money on it, and then bought my TA.

5 years later i still regret selling it, if i knew back then what i know today, it would still be sitting in my garage. and about once a month i get VERY close to selling the TA in favor of another 240

They don't do that bad on gas, we got a little better gas mileage with my 76 camaro that Im getting with my LS1 camaro. Then again my LS1 has a few things done to it.

I love the feel of old cars, there is something about driving a 50's 60's or 70's car that you can't get from a new car. The guy said no dice, now if i can sell the tbird and buy the camaro but ohh well.

Ivan I won't miss the tbird, it was one of those cars that would be cool to have but if I can get a mid second gen I know I would rather that than the tbird.
