Four people were killed when a driver in a Corvette lost control and crashed on Roscoe Boulevard near Hayvenhurst Avenue in Van Nuys. CBS

A speeding Corvette crashed on a San Fernando Valley street early Thursday, killing four people and leaving pieces of bodies and the car scattered along a half-mile stretch of road, authorities said.

Police said two men and two women were killed in the crash at 12:05 a.m. in the North Hills area near the Van Nuys Airport.

Their identities were not immediately released.

The yellow 2007 Corvette was speeding on Roscoe Boulevard when the driver apparently lost control on a curve, hit a guardrail, skidded hundreds of feet, crossed some railroad tracks and came to rest upside down, authorities said.

Lt. John Romero said two men and a woman were hurled out as the car flipped over several times.

The body of the woman driver was pinned inside the wreckage.

The driver may have been drinking, authorities said.

No other car was involved in the accident and the Corvette was not racing or chasing another vehicle, police Capt. William Sutton said.

Wow, um seemed like he was cool from what you say Juanito but one bad decision. I hope all the family members are as good as they can be, and that all the people in the car rest in peace.

You could be doing everything right 100% of the time and never speed or drive crazy and be involved in a major car accident. Driving stupid or anything only makes things worse! Trust me, I have the scares to show for it. I had my trans am flip and crush me when I was trying to exit off of the 805 south before the 8. I should have died. I wasn't drinking, racing or anything. They just cut me off and almost slammed into me when I was on the off ramp. I have some really bad pics too to prove it.

yep. I will post them up. My accident was Sept. 11, 2006 on south bound 805 at around 10am. I was going 75-85 when the gold SUV pulled out infront of me. I slammed on the brakes and lost control of the car and it slammed into the hill on the Murry Ridge rd exit. I dont rem. getting into the car that day. I also thought that my girlfriend at the time was with me and that I killed her. I lost my forhead and my ear from the t top. My holders and back were jacked up from the road. I have scares that are really black because of the assfault thats in them.

Heres what I looked like after my accident....

The strings you might see are the stitches that they ran from my eye brows to the top of my scalp.
