Default Question regarding car registration in CA

Hey guys,
For some time now my car has been down and since my registration was due in October I claimed it non operational and paid a fee of $18. Since with in a month or so I will have the car back up I am wondering for the registration, am I going to pay for the remainder of the year (until October) or will I pay the full amount and my registration period will be changed from October to whenever I register it operational again?

Thank you.
Karn

You will pay the full amount. It doesn't matter if there is 11 months left or 1 month left, CA is going to get some money out of you.

Plus a smog check will be required.

It was cheaper to keep my registration current on my other Camaro than have to go non op then smog it afterward.

Yea you have to pay the full amount since you owed it already. And you're going to need a smog.
