Default Good dyno tuner in LA, Ventura county?

I'm looking for a reliable dyno tuner in LA, Ventura or Santa Barbara county. Anybody know of a good one? I swapped and LS1 with a bigger cam, LS6 intake, headers and a 3,000 SS torque converter and I had my PCM tuned by a mail order place in VA. For the most part it runs really well but the idle sucks between around 100 and 150 degrees. It idles really low and dies. Also, the MPG kinda suck 10-12 all-around. The mail order place said to send the PCM back and forth till they got it right. The only place I've seen out here can't tune it. I want to be able to drive to this place and drive back in a day. Any suggestions?

Let me just say I know its a drive but cms is the best tuner out here and well worth the drive. Anywhere else and you're getting less for your $$$. I think of it as you spent all this time and money into your car why not spend an extra hour or so and get it tuned right and get the most out of your car. Just my opinion...hit him up Ryne@cms I believe is his name on here.

Church Automotive Testing (CAT) in Wilmington, Andy at A & A Corvette in Ventura or Oxnard, I believe has a good track record, Ryne at Cunningham motor Sports in Lake Elsinore, all have great track records. There are others. HTH. Ryne at CMS might very likely be the least expensive. Shawn at Church Automotive Testing (CAT) in Wilmington in also well known for his tuning skills.

Might also want to take a look at what some of the peeps on this thread have to say about their experiences on Cad V's series cars.
I apologize in advance for linking a thread to a site that most peeps on here don't seem to like, but the info on here is relevant.

Andy at A&A, he built my 408 and tuned it. Wouldn't trust anyone else with the tuning.

charlie and a few other tuners think pretty highly of themselves and if your not dropping tons of money having them do all the mod work then its not uncommon to treated like a second class citizen when your just trying to get a tune

although i have heard great things about his tunes

I will say this, you get what you pay for. You pay only a couple hundred bucks for a tune, you get a cheap tune. Now if you pay more for a tune you get a better tune, you are paying the tuner for his time and effort to make sure you get the best tune for your vehicle, not all vehicles respond the same to mods, and a lot of tuners tend to cookie cutter it, I have been to CMS quite a few times and have seen how Ryne sits there and makes sure it is completely done right not half assed.

I am a very nit picky person when it comes to who touches anything on my car and he has done me no injustice.

-1 for RPM, +1 for Ryne
I saw a supercharged car pick up over 45HP by going to Ryne after being tuned by two other tuners that were supposed to be reputable and know what they were doing. In the first 15 minutes of working on the car, Ryne had discovered & diagnosed a major tuning issue AND corrected it, then threw it on the dyno and proceeded to tune it for the best power while staying at a safe AFR. That same day I saw a supercharged C6Z pick up well over 45HP as well with one of Rynes tunes.

Quick Reply: Good dyno tuner in LA, Ventura county?
