There's no way that C5 rear bumper didn't touch the front bumper of the truck.

Thats not even tight. Often times people will block in a car. Its rare that the repo man doesnt get the car. You can also lift the entire car with the boom and bring it straight out. Anyone with a repo truck and a few simple tools can take any car anytime they want. You could be watching from 10 ft away, and it you couldnt stop it.

Sometimes they even get dragged down the street, over speed bumps etc etc..

The lender sells the car at dealer auction, and if it sells with no engine or trans, for 500$ and you owe 25000, then they get a judgement against you for the remainding 24500.......They get the right off as a loss, plus at some point some back probably. In some cases they will seek wage garnishment.

So unless you work for cash......and have no assets.......

Some repo trucks have wheel lifts under regular beds also.....it looks like every other truck out there.

Time to leave your wheel turned and let coloumn lock hold you when you park somewhere. At least then it will make it obvious they are stealing it.

It takes about 30 seconds to break in , and defeat the shifter lock. Ussually less. around 10 seconds most of the time. The e brake ussually helps.....cause if its front wheel drive then you can lift it by the rear wheels with out it pulling off the lift. If you just want to move the car, that is in gear and e braked....you lift the rear, keep the lift real low, and drag it out with the front tires stopped. A little liquid keeps the tires from squeling as it gets pulled.

It can be dragged a ways once its strapped., but out of a parking spot and turned 90 degrees in an apartment lot, it doesnt even have to be strapped. AWD is a pain.....due to liability. go jacks are quick little jacks that you lift one end on. The wheels are small though but they work fine. The only down side is time and noise. Then the repo man just stays quiet and its his.
