Exclamation CA: Need a good LS1 mechanic around Discovery Bay/Brentwood 94505

Whats up everyone? My 02 SS hasn't been itself lately, check engine light has been on for a little while for misfiring, which probably explains the high rpm hesitation, and I just saw it's leaking radiator fluid!

I moved out to Discovery Bay a little earlier this year so I'm still somewhat new to the area and need to find a trusted mechanic who knows their way around an LS1. I've seen a few F-Bodies and a lot of Vette's in the area, just haven't been able to chat with anyone so I'm not sure where they take their cars.

If anyone on the site is familiar with the area, please let me know a good place to bring my SS... she needs help soon!

Thanks!

When did you last change your spark plugs and wires?

Not too long ago... but the code came back so I'm thinking it's the coils... or maybe a coil. Not sure but hoping whoever I take it to can make that determination.

Do you know where the radiator fluid is leaking from?

Nope, that's part of the problem as I don't have a floor jack anymore and the leak isn't visible from under the hood or from laying on the ground and trying to look up. All I can tell is it's coming from the front of the engine, I'll see the fluid dripping down on the left side of the block (if looking at it from the front of the car). I'm hoping it isn't something too serious, but I'm not really seeing any hoses near where it's dripping... I'm dreading hearing it's a busted gasket and forking out way too much in labor costs.

But... that's assuming (and hoping) someone recommends a mechanic around here. I hate going to any ol' shop without at least hearing someone's experiences.
