Exclamation 97 LT1 Build

Its about that time where i put the camaro up and get some work done to it...right now it has a SLP exhaust & 58mm throttle body.i been on the web lookin for good heads and cam kits and so far i only ran across the lloyd elliot kits.Has anyone use these kits before?whats the pro's and con's ? if you kno anywhere else that sells LT1 kits let me kno.im open to different idea's..

Search the lt1 sections..there will be plenty of info. AI or Advanced Induction is another.

This is the build My brother, Father and I did. But we did the build ourselves. It was our first and probably last build. Takes a lot of time to build it from scratch. Tons of research. We ran port matches Heads. No Port or polished. Runs low 12's all day with a Low stall Vert.

I think you need to get all your bolt ons, tune, and suspension first. Then start your heads and cam mission. Check out the LT1 section it's pretty good.

i have a slp exhaust already..curently looking for a intake and headers..does a throttlebody make a difference ?

@94'blkbrd is that a upgraded intake..if so i have that on the car..i thought it was a stock part cause my last camaro had it also

Don't forget about the suspension. relocation brackets, LCA's, shocks, springs, rear sway bar, subframe connectors

all Custom. Tons of hours going back and forth to Ace hardware. There is no adapters for the ARP studs. what a pain in the butt!

AI would be the best choice for heads/cam, le would be the second choice; I have le1 heads with upgraded valves they look great.


ConElite: Hve you had your car on a dyno, if so what did it put down? Just want to get an idea of what kind of power low 12sec autos put down.
