Default How much to rebuild heads/Port polish? Changing Head Gasket

So head gasket blew on my friends car, im going to swap it out, but was wondering how much a rebuild on the heads would be while im there, or just get some stock replacements? He's not too worried about performance as he wont be keeping the car for much longer? Any i nput is appreciated?

To resurface and clean up isn't so much. I've seem them go as cheap as 60 bucks for both heads. For port and polish then that's when it gets more pricy. From 300-900 bucks.

well if he ports them it may not run the best without being tuned because it will change the airflow. He might be able to get away with having them milled some to pick up some power and might not have to change his tune but dont quote me on that.

Valves, springs, cracks. Usually the machine shop checks for that.

CBM in Rancho Cucamonga does P&P on 241 heads for a reasonable rate, and their flow numbers are about the same as an Advanced Induction head (accounting for different flow benches).
