Just wanted to inform everyone that California Dragway is closed until further notice, that means this weekend is not happening.

Ok. Please don't contact me about this until I know more but the track is shutdown until the EIR gets resolved. I don't know a time frame or details but that is the latest. Please do not contact me. Not much I can do from the hospital.

Looks like the only drag strips will be Barona and Famoso will be the only choices in So. Cal. If my wife wasn't so adamant about staying here, I would move to Arizona after I retire.

Yup...And Barona is a poorly maintained 1/8th mile track while Famoso costs $50 just to run test-and-tune.

Damn I miss LACR and even the hole-in-the-ground that was Carlsbad.

What a shame this has happend. It's been a on going freud with some of locals within the surrounding area of the track regarding shutting it down. I guess they won this time around.

Willow Springs too, but only for a few months in 2012.
