Default Question on selling a motorcycle in California under 5200 miles

So I bought a 2007 GSXR 750 in California and registered it in Texas. The bike currently has 5200 miles and I’m stationed in Moreno valley, CA. I do not hold a California license. Now I want to sell the bike but I know California is crazy when it comes to this. Is there any way I can sell my bike In California? What kind of problems will I see if I try? I have been told that being military makes the process easy but I have not found out any information. All the rules I see do not talk about a person being stationed in California from out of state. Please help! Thanks

I could be wrong, but you should be able to sell a car registered in any state, in california. Think about what california wants from you... All they want from you is a release of liability. So instead you would just be sure to file your release of liability with Texas. Then when the new owner takes his Texas title to the DMV, he will be able to transfer the title to the state and obtain registration.

I just called the DMV and have it all figured out now. Thanks guess I should have taken that step first.

Ahh well thanks for your service, I don't think it'll be an issue to sell the bike here.
