Hey everyone, I'm making this thread because I'm considering going from manual to auto. Car is a 98 z28 with a t56. Will be going heads cam intake soon and I will most likely be racing a lot so it seems to make sense to go auto. The trans needed a rebuild when I got it so I did that a clutch, tick master and all the supporting stuff along with a mgw shifter. Long story short do you guys think it's a good idea/is there anyone in the south-west looking to buy or maybe trade for there auto swap? Can give more details if anyone is interested.

The T56 is worth more than an auto. Way more. Sell your t56 for 1,500-2k and buy an auto for 500.

Yeah the t-56 is worth more just testing the water. Seeing if anyone is local looking for a t56.

The gap closes when you start getting into fully built autos. Your best bet would be to sell the swap complete and find a core auto to build. The good parts for the autos ad up quick.
