Exhaust Install So-cal
I am looking to install my true duals (Dr. Gas X and sweet thunders) but I cant find a reputable shop with a good price to do the install. Can anyone recommend a place in the LA/San Luis Obispo/Riverside area that can do this for me? Thanks.

Best bet is to find a close shop to ya and give them a call.

we can do it for you but the shop is located about 30 min from Palm Springs which is a long drive from where you are.

Bryan at Race-prep did a great job welding up my true duals system and pieced every bit together. Very clean and neat welds and he did a great overall job on the TD's. I'll send ya some pics if you'd like

any pictures from you guys with true duals would be greatly appreciated, it would make it a lot easier to figure out what i want to do. I have the parts to do true duals but I want to keep cats on there and dont have the money now for LT's and high flow cats, its all just gonna go on after the oem cats for now till I can get some money for some pacesetters or something

Eeek - in that case it may get more expensive than you want it to... if I were you, I'd just wait till you could afford some Pacesetters and then get the TD's installed... easier and cheaper... don't have to go back and re-do anything. I'll get some pics next time it's up on a lift.

I have welded before but I want it to be done well, I have not welded tubing before in a tight space like that. I think I'd rather pay the extra $$ to have it done right the first time.

I wish it was a bolt on kit, I'm great with a wrench and I know how to work on cars but I just lack the abililty to weld. What I have right now is just a Dr. Gas X-pipe and 2 18" sweet thunder mufflers, trying to get the names of some good shops to call to get this stuff on the car.

Another shop is Gene's Muffler in Downey. He will probably recommend that you just sell the Dr. Gas stuff and use his own since he has a mandrel bender at the shop and this could save you some money (thats what he did with mine). Do you want the exhaust to dump, go over the axle, or under?
BTW - his prices are reasonable. Way under $1k.

I like the look of dumped but I think the drone would get old quick and I think that under the axle looks terrible, I think I definitely would have it go all the way out the back and over the axle.
