Default LT1s rule! Video inside!

Idling video

Edit: The sound on this video is all off, I'm making a before/after vid now.

Pictures/Vids of Cam Swap

Hey well I finished the CC306 swap last night, started it up around 12:15 am open headers, and drove for a few miles . It's pretty radical on the stock tune because I'm waiting for a cable to get shipped so I can hook my laptop up for the email tune I got from Ion. I need to get my exhaust welded up because I cut the old cat off and put a new one on so I'm not really going to drive it because it's loud as heck. Oh yeah, while I was driving there were two cops that had pulled some guy over, unfortunately right by a stop light so I had to stop and idle for a bit about 50 feet from them. It's effing hard to accelerate quietly with open headers but I was 1 mile from my house so I hurried up and parked it in the garage and closed the door. CC306

I agree LT1's sound better and meaner than LS1's. Nice car man, now go horse hunting and bring back some trophies...

Finally! LOL I drove my car down to school untuned, what a beast! Wow it has lost a lot of torque, especially below 2k rpm because the car doesn't like to go much faster than 75 anymore on the freeway and hills blow. I was going to run 36# injectors, but my tuning cable isn't here yet so I can't put on the email tune I have from Ion. So I'm just running the stock injectors, but I ran it up to about 4500 rpm on the freeway and it has plenty more top end than before and this thing will pull well past 6000 so I'm excited

Has a ***** load of cam surge though, I drove my girlfriend around and she was like "OMG why is it running so crappy? It sounds good but it smells like a gas station." Open headers was fun, but it's actually really tame sounding with the magnaflow catback. About 3k rpm it starts screaming, the cutout definitely sounds like death though The idle is still around 950 though in that video and it likes to idle around 1100-1200 most of the time. The tune has the idle set at 875! That'll be fun I'll post another video this friday or saturday when I'm home from school.

With open headers I was thinking that I went too big. But after the computer started learning, after it warms up, and after the exhaust got put on, it's a lot more streetable than I expected, even with the stock tune I almost wish I'd gone with the 847 or a nice big custom . Maybe when I get my heads ported this spring I'll switch over. Will the 918s handle more cam?

A bolt on open header LS1 sounds nothing like a bolt on open header LT1, much less a decently cammed LT1 Cammed LS1s (Ryne!) are nice though! That video was taken on an old digital camera, obviously sound quality is poor, and you'll never get the full experience from your computer unless you have 4 12" subs. Everyone can hear it in person at the next meet travie319 you're slow . Wait til I get my heads ported, I'll run you then, if you give me your bottle... Why hasn't skillz come in here yet ? He must be scared? I need a tune before I can talk smack

I think you and z28skillz should be a good race!!!!!!
as for me yah... maybe you'll beat me....(I only trap at 114 on motor)
but only if you get your heads ported!!!! I predict a 108-110 trap speed with the 306...
if you can keep the weight down.....my car is heavy *** ****.....4000lb race weight..
where r u tunning....? I did mine with pcm4less (BRIAN)....he did a decent job from what I can tell....the car is been acting crappy do to bad opti....so that's why my car was missing and turning off that day!!!!

just wait till I get my V-tec controller....then it's all over for all of you...including Ryne!!!!!! lol.....

I want a 112 trap, but I'll have my heads ported before I can make it back to the track. Custom "kick ryne's ***" cam this summer for hopefully 430 rwhp, but only if I can get that weight down to 2500...
