Default Arizona emissions question

I have recently purchased a 2001 SS.
It is from out of state, and I want to know what the state emission
requirements are here in Arizona.
Do they do sniffer test here, or just visual inspection and plug-in
to the obd plug and check for codes?

Will gutted cats and o2 simms pass inspection?

only OBD1 cars have to do smog...

OBD2 cars just plug and look for codes.

i recently passed last month with no cats, no EGR, no AIR, and no rear o2's.

i DID get SES codes however, but you have to go to a tuner and have them tune them out, or set the perameters so low that it wont trip the code. the local guy i went to, NicD (tech username) who does great dyno tuning/minor tuning, deleted mine at a real good price with LS1 edit.

i just passed emissions last month, i did the same thing as the guy above me did. I passed with no cats, o2 sensors or egr valves. i went to NicD to get my SES light turned off. They did pop my hood, i'm sure they saw that it didnt have an egr LT's etc., but i still passed. took about 5 minutes

the visual inspector popped my hood as well, but he was probably 18 years old and had NO clue what the hell he was looking at he just stood there and starred then walked away

depends on where the vehicle is registered....I have mine in Yavapai county, and have to do absolutely nothing...Hooray for unpopulated areas...
