Default thinking of moving to AZ

Im thinking of looking for a job in the AZ area (possibly Phoenix or Flagstaff) and getting out of MS for good...just too much crap leftover from katrina...anyhow Id like to get some opinions from anyone who has or does live there...whats it like..weather, schools, life, etc...

thanks

I have lived here for a year so far and love it. The only time the weather sucks is during the summer. The other nine months of the year feel great. The car scene is usually always good. Overall its not a bad place and I wouldnt mind living here once I get out of school.

Great place to live. Just you better love the heat during the summer, otherwise we are entering the best time of the year for AZ. Perfect during the day, cool at night, and never any snow to destroy your car.

Oh yeah and we have lots of Mexican food...

As far as the jobs go, Phoenix is better than Flagstaff...The heat in the summer is brutal though, but if you get an inside job you'll be fine...I'm in Northern AZ right now, weather is much easier, especially in the summer...It does snow in Flagstaff, but it only hangs around for a few days at most...In Cottonwood here where I am, there are a few good manufacturing facilities that pay pretty well, and there are a few car dealerships and whatnot...Either way, you'll find a job...I like the weather better up here, but I like the social scene down in Phoenix...But I just drive down there on the weekends, it only takes an hour

word.

You get used to the heat. at least I have overall.

I cant say I miss harsh cold weather and dealing with snow/salt/harsh cold.

You can pretty much rock shorts/sandals all the time if you wanted. so thats definately a +.

so vote = move here. so my house can be worth more.

If you were to have moved here from Los Angeles you'd think just the opposite.

I think it's largly dependant on where you want to move to. There are alot of expanding places out east in Mesa and Gilbert, and some more out on the west side of Phoenix/avondale. I love it down here!
