I am reading that 1996 and newer only do the OBDII plug-in computer check.
Does anyone in Reno or Sparks area have experience if they do a visual?

I am considering LT's with 3" cats on a true duel....

Yes they do visual checks. Well they are supposed to at least. But alot of times it seems like too much work to look under the car when just plugging the thing in is really all that matters....

Well, ask because my wife had her PT done, and she said the guy just plugged in the OBDII reader and that was it. He never opened the hood.

I wonder if he would do the same to my SS if she drove it there? LOL

More than likely... He didn't even check the gas cap? He may check the camaro, he may not. Guess it depends on the day and how he feels. If he was to lazy to even pop the gas cap on the PT then I'm guessing he won't want to crawl under the car and look for cats. But who knows.....

I would think that the SS will draw more attention to that kind of thing.
Maybe I'll call a few smog stations and ask them how much beer it takes to pass the visual check. LOL
