Default Mechanic Help!!!!!

Does anyone no a good and affordable mechanic or anyone want to make a little extra cash in or around the LA area that knows about LS1's and could help me get my 1998 WS-6 running . I don't know what the hell is wrong with it.Whene I start up the car the idle starts slowly going up and down from 1000rpm-1500rpm for about 10min and then stayes at about 1200rpm and repeats it's self all over again.I checked for leakes and could'nt find one I changed the MAF and nothing I have tried everything possible and need help getting it to run.I have a Comp Cam 224 228 .581, LS6 heads ,Hooker longtube headers and a TCI Converter and it is tuned by Fast Chips. If anyone knows what could be causing my car to do this please let me know or if any of you guys are aroun the Hawthorne Torrence area that might be able to look at it for me that would be great.

Thanks Jimmy

Try changing the idle air control valve, it controls idle speed. How long ago did it start doing it, did you do anything that started this or did it just start acting up?

I changed the idle air control about 3 times already and still no fix. This all started once the engine was dropped back in the car with all it's mods.

you need to recheck all your vaccum lines again...more than likely one has a crack in it somewhere and causing your surging idle
