Car is in danger of Theft!!!
Last night I went out to the car to pull some stuff out of the rear hatch area, and managed to leave my keys in the hatch lock. I come out this morning, frantically looking for them to find none. I took the car, parked it back under my apartment canopy, disabled the ignition, and took off to school. So I left early to see if anything was wrong, and low and behold, my Stereo and CD's are long gone. Called the PD, they came out, took a report, lifted some fingerprints, and said have a nice day. Here's the problem. They have my door key for the car, the IGNITION KEY, AND THE KEYS TO MY APARTMENT!!
I need some help here guys, anything about legal issues and what to do about my locks in the car. The apartment is gonna replace my locks tomorrow morning, so that isnt a problem. Thanks......

What Gen F-car do you have? I have never opened my hatch with the keys. I always use the FOB or the remote hatch button under the dash. Maybe you should have everything re-keyed to be safe.

I have a stripper 4th gen, an 02, so everything is manual, no FOB's.
So I don't need to replace the whole tumbler assembly for a new ignition key? That would be a relief....
As far as the door keys, I will probably have to buy new locks cut for different keys. God knows how much that will cost...
Thanks for the input guys, I really appreciate it.

I dont think you tune the PCM, I believe they have to replace the BCM (Body Control Module), but I could be wrong. Check if anybody is parting out a car and buy their locks, or if you are in a hurry, I believe you can get new door locks at Pep boys/autozone for a decent price. Very simple to replace.

holy hell booth... that is crazy.
i think for right now, until you get everything sorted out, try as hard as possible to get the car to a different location, go to a GM dealership and have a key made, proving that you own the car, or tow it somewhere else, away from the people that have the keys... until you get everything switched out. it would create complications with getting to school and what not, but if you can work something out, that would be the best bet for right now... otherwise they might start taking big ****, like your seats and everything.

Yep, I would definetley move the car. Then, for door and trunk locks, get with Billy Graham's F-body auto salvage out of Alabama. He sells things for good prices and has everything you need. You can google their web site. I believe it's www.billygrahamscamaro.com (maybe org....not sure....google it).
Everything I've ordered from him has come in within a couple of days. Good luck.

Booth do you have another car to drive in the meantime? If you need a place to keep the car for a little while I can move some **** around in my garage and you can leave it there. I'll even tow it for you if you rent a trailer

Oh hey i was gonna ask you too...I'm going to be selling that Celica Supra that was sitting in front of my house....Brett said you were looking at it the other night. I just need to set the timing and adjust the TPS...had to replace the head gasket and all the seals. Are you interested? I'll probably be looking to get about $1600 for the white car and the parts car I have in the back yard together.
