raced a Golf tonight
1.8 , bigger turbo, built motor but still 1.8. 91 octane, boosting mid 20 psi or so
Both me and the golf had a passenger in the car
we raced
0-140 - I took him bad on take off, and then it just pulled away harder and harder. must have had 20 car lengths by 140, lol.
and the rest was from a dig
2nd gear @ 60 mph
2nd gear @ 65 mph where I shifted from 2 - 3 - 2! at top of redline in 3rd gear. I immediately pulled over on the closest exit and checked the car, it sounded fine and performance felt the same ( should I be worried about anything?)
anyways we got back on the freeway going the other way and did 2 more runs
2nd gear again at like 60 ish, I keep pulling on him when Im in 2nd and shift to 3rd...
then the last rin the same speed 60 ish I left it in 3rd and we ran it, me and him stayed equal in 3rd, until I put it in 4th. then I really started pulling on him and put a few cars on him by end of 4th.
I have boltons, LT, trueduals, lid, aluminum flywheel, roadrace suspension moser 12 bolt with 3.73s M6 2002 Z28.
that is all..
Im excited!

Oh ****!
No its not much louder. I think the LM1 with ORY and LTs was the loudest, this setup is probably the same, but since its dumped the sound is drowned out, however interior noise has increased. also the old setup it was higher pitched, this is more low tone. I like both sounds a lot.

Pretty easy kill. Those old 1.8 GTIs are extremely overrated. They boost in the teens from the factory and my 4.8 chevy pickup is faster. Even chipped with a bigger turbo they would be lucky to hit 300 hp.

I've done the 2-3-2 shift before, I almost **** myself. I had a passanger and he took up the hole center consule on the shift and it threw my elbow off. It resulted in some crazy wheel hop and I was sure I broke something, luckily the car drove away unscaved. I've never ran into any any fast GTI's. I ran into one quick ????? once but i still pulled him by a few cars. I considered it quick because i I didn't beat him "that bad"
