Well, i went to a smog shop and when they popped the hood they were looking at my headers (I have longtubes with hi flow cats). The guy told me that the engine area is very compact and since he cant inspect it thoroughly and see a carb number on my headers he asked me if i had proof that they have a carb number on them. I asked, "what kind of proof do you want?" He responded by telling me to bring a print out of the manifolds manufactuor along with the e.o. carb number and he would pass me for sure. So now i just need someone to give me a carb number for shorties for a 98 ls1. I did upgrade the manifold to a ls6 manifold which deleted the egr pump....but he wasnt really concerned about that becuase i told him the ls6 manifold was used on the 01-up ls1 models which allowed GM to remove the egr system.... he was more concerned about the carb number on the headers. So if anybody could, please give me a carb number for 98 ls1 shorties!!!

ahahhaha he'd gonna want to see the picture of the headers you have to verify they are the same ones.. and see in the picture where the CARB plate is located.. and see the actual # on it... unless this guy is a moron.. because you could bring him ANY CARB # and he wouldnt know the difference.. and im surprised the guy is lazy enough NOT to get under the car and verify the cats are there and have not been moved in anyway..

if he is that lazy.. **** i want to know what shop this is.. and i wanna go there!!!

ill photoshop and fab up a fake pic for him, lol. and make it say that the carb number is in the inner middle tube of the header or something
