Default Push Button Electronic Exhaust Cutout

Does anybody have one installed? How is it and does it really work on providing more hp when open?
Also, what about dual mufflers?
Does it have anything to do with emissions?

I have a manual cutout. It works by reducing backpressure allowing the engine to breathe better. A muffler (no matter what kind) is gonna flow less than an open pipe.

Electric Cutout here, (integrated into my Borla exhaust setup).
Works damn nice, no issues.
I run it open all the time and just close it when cops are around.
Pretty cheap too (Qtec version that is).

Yeah, the QTP's are a sweet setup.

I think they used to have a problem with the motors crapping out, but I'm not sure it that's still an issue...

I helped a friend put one in the i-pipe before his Hooker catback and it was a breeze to wire/tuck away.

Oh, he had the actual cutout welded in by a guy we knew at midas in exchange for a case of beer.

i have put one dmh on a customers car and it was a very fine peice

ive also put about half a dozen qtp units on customers cars and havent any complaints. they all loved em

i have a qtp myself, and ironically i kept knocking it loose (car is lowered) anyway the guys at qtp have provided excellent customer service and warranty. ive been very impressed and highly recommend them. not that im discrediting dmh, nor the oppinions of the above users. just have had a great experience with qtp all together.
