Default CMS built vs. turbo mach 1

finally ran the turbo mach thats been after me to race for a while now...I'm REALLY suprised at the outcome....

1st race pretty even but till the top of 2nd and he was in my mirror...

2nd race he had a mis fire or something and got out of it.....

3rd race i got the holeshot and nevr saw him near me.....heard his bov that was about it...

dont know much about the car but the guy laid claim to well over 500 hp on pump gas and close to 700 on race gas...all i know is the turbo is a 96mm and the fuel system was custom by MMR with the basic boltons dont even know how or who it was tuned by

he made the age old "you sprayed me" excuse but i popped my hatch and showed him i didnt even have the bottle in the car....the asked if the heads were stock i let the guy scour my engine compartment trying to make himself feel better but couldnt find a reason for the loss to his superior boosted machine...he fianlly said "good race, you got me this time"

it was a good race....chalk another one up for CMS

Not calling BS on you but on the guys mods....

no way a 4.6 is going to spool a 96mm on the street and have any sort of a power band maybe a 76mm making 500 on pump and 700 on race. A 96mm is a full race turbo we have a car in testing going 8.0 at 176mph using a true 94mm on 295 drag radials. 302/350s have a hell of a time spooling turbos that large before 5500rpm

I was thinking the same thing......but like we read in the other thread (stang vs. vette) it's what works on the street......96mm is overkill for street car...(must be nice on the freeway though)

even on the freeway unless he's turning 8500+ Rpm in a bolt-on mach no way in hell it's going to even move.

76's are slow to spool on 4.6's

i thought it was far fetched also...i looked at it and it lookd like a BIG *** turbo so i took his word on it...i really expected to lose this race...i mean he was leaving bouncin off the rev limiter, pop pop pop..

Guess I may have been wrong. The Moderators must have just created the "STREET RACING AND KILL STORIES" Section just for me to stick my pretty lil thumb up my *** cuz this obviously doesn't sound like it should be in a section like that.

What's up with all the wannabe section moderators?

You could look at it this way: he's from the west, the race took place in the west, he's giving props to a sponsor in the west, so it's shared in the Western Members forum.

Otherwise, what the **** is the Western Members forum for? Please provide specifics so we all can learn.
