Default Someone help

so its about 5:20 this morning and im about to start my car to go to work. and it wont start.... i checked the batt, tried jumping it, moved the wires around tighten the terminals, but it still wont start. everything works in it but when i turn the key foward nothin, not even a click. well needless to say im already late to work. and im forced to have to ride the bike today. can anyone help me figure out whats wrong????!!!!!

do you have a spare key??? if so try using it. You might want to check the terminals for corrosion as well.... speaking from experiance

i'd say check starter i know if it was the chip on the key the car will still turn over but not start. Well thats that mine did when it went bad on my old camaro

just a long shot
try getting a long screwdriver or rod
and wack the casing of the starter

yeah man i'll agree with you man. the same thing happened to my camaro so what i did is had someone jumpstart the car while i hit the casing on the starter and after a few wacks it turned over and everything was fine. but i also recommend taking the battery to pep boys to let them check the voltage on the battery. you may just have to replace the battery. i did that too and my battery was dead so i replaced it and got ENERGIZER...its the best!

kool thanx for all the suggestions... but idont understand how the whole chip on the key thing works. i hit the starter a couple of times from the top and underneath the car. still nothin. everything turns on, but when i try to crank it, nothing. like it doesnt even effect the car. i turn on the lights and crank and they dont even dim! HELP!

Yea I had that happen to me. Only I got a click from the starter arm kicking out but the positive terminal was corroded to the point where it wasnt getting enough power to turn the damn thing. But at a glance everything looked connected and fine.

well im not even getting a click from the starter. do you think my starter might be going bad or has just ate ****. my car has been down for a day and it has me stumped. i dont know what to look at. i think im gonna start over from the battery to the starter.

i was lookin at the fuses and they all look good. witch relays should i switch. i see the ones that say "ign" would it be those? does rob help people out over the phone?

Get a set of jumper cables & try that..sometimes everything will work even though the battery is almost toast. If jumping the car doesn't work it's probably the starter.

well the vehicle starts for about a second then shuts off when i bump the starter, i tried putting in another batt but still the same thing, i also just tried changing the ign relay and also tried the starter relay but still nothing. im totally stumped. anyone got a number i can contact some help at? Rob maybe?
