Default CARB legal parts for Z06 Vette?

Im going to be moving into the NorCal area and will most likely buy a Z06. (ls6 year ranges) What brand intakes, headers, exhausts, and maybe a puny cam are CARB legal and or will pass smog? I know, that no real cam is CARB/SMOG legal, but what have you guys gotten away with? Im coming from the midwest where we run around open headers, no emissions, on slicks and skinnies. Im going to miss all that, but i know the cali cops hate on that stuff BIG TIME!

IS there any companies that sell CARB legal parts? I know in the queer import world "greddy" sells CARB legal crap. Nothing like that for the ls1's? Thank god z06's stock can go high 11s on a drag radial with no performance mods, haha!

.224/.224 .581/.581 114 LSA will definitely pass CA smog. I have seen it. And the STS turbo kits for C5 and C6 have a CARB EO number tig welded to the intercooler

These last 3 posts made me smile BIG TIME! A cam and bolt ons is all i want to limit it to. Ive had my racecars in the past that ive spent more time wrenching on, instead driving/racing them ever. Now its time to enjoy the damn car and not have to worry about **** ever again.

oh hell yeah, people on here are saying they have smogged with a cam as high as a 228, a 218 will be unnoticlable you wont even hear it, just slap a cover over the afr part, you will deff pass at the sniffer if you have cats,

Is any one running this cam in there LS6? If so, what power gains did you get?

Should make near upper 380s, low 390s with everything else being 100% stock.

Ran the exact mods in my signature and passed smog well within limits, before the AFR heads were put on! Thats with a C.A.M. tune also, which is just kinda ok. the tech did kinda look at me funny, cause the cam lopes at idle, but that could have been tuned to be less noticable by raising the idle speed from 750 to 850 rpm. i just liked the sound.

you can always run a bigger cam and when it is time to smog you can run ethanol mixed with your gas and it will pass like a charm. but i dont know how big of a cam you want with factory manifolds.

i failed the visual at a CA smog referee because the exhaust manifold on the passenger side was off a '99 and my car is a 2000... BS if u ask me but oh well

u can do whatever it is u want to ur car here in cali, just be careful where and how u drive it... Nothings illegal till u get caught, and at worst case u can always demod it before u have to see a referee
