Actually that is the best of both...Fox Body Stang light weight strong 8.8 rear end and deccent chassis for racing and an LS1 that makes good power...Here is an example and from this you can see that this very popular swap... https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ht=mustang+ls1

I've seen a couple LSx Fox's that were pretty nasty and pretty fast.
If you really think about it, there have been LS1s in Fords, Nissans, Hondas, Mazdas, Mitsubishis, etc.
When was the last time you saw a Ford motor in something that wasn't a Ford?

I actually own a 2000 gt and i am looking into how to do the swap into my car currently with the ls1 because I am fed up with my platform, 2 valves are so hard to get power out of and im tired of fartin around. so i will let u know what i find out. i know there are numerous people who have done 5.0 swaps into mod mustangs and the 5.0 is a pushrod too so I don't think it is extensively more difficult than the fox swap.

Hahahaha!!! Dude is would have to have enough $$ to buy 2-3. Then i'd just make all you guys fight over one. That would be BADASS. Then record it and put in up on Tech.
