I'm not an expert, but I think your only choice is to take it over if you want to save your credit, or have him remove your wife's name by financing it himself. I assume the latter is not an option because he needed a co-signer in the first place.

Whatever payments you have to make on his behalf, you can recover in court.

Pay it off, sell it, sue for the difference.

How much is left to pay on the car? If you need to get out from under it just go repo it from he and sell it for payoff. I'm sure it's about worth about what payoff is if it's clean. I hope you meant she financed it January of '07 ?? Time for a hard lesson for the young punk!

i always trip out when you remind me that your married. Try to sell the car, cut your loses, and hope that your girl never co-signs for him again. Dont give him crap.

Can you actually sell a car without having the pink slip??

Unless you sell it to someone who trusts you, I don't know of many people that are willing to risk a scam.

Or you sell it to a good friend on the cheap, sue for the diff, resell and share the profit.

I'm just guessing you could do it this way, I have never heard/seen anyone doing this.
