i've heard that those are only accurate at low speeds so if u slow down and floor it past it you kinda mess up its reading or something like that. not really sure how it works

So do you HAVE to go in and fix it or what? or is it up to the owner? the article stated, "Atwood emphasized that the program is voluntary and insists that the district has no intention of sharing its smog readings with the Department of Motor Vehicles". Im guessing if you get a notice, theyre just pleading to you to make a change, not FORCING? I hope its not a mandatory thing.

Not a bad idea... post this up on some truck forums and the guys with nice, big, rugged tires can accidently swerve a lil and take em out. Just a lil 'woopsie!' I'm speedin up and killin the ignition past these things if I spot em.
