i know it can be done but i wonder how it affects the value of the car i know its some fed violation (not terribly concerned bout that) but ive heard back and forth it would make the car a salvage if you remove or tamper with the air bag system...?

from what I know a vehicle gets a salvaged title when the insurance wrote it off. I have never heard that a car gets salvaged because airbags were removed. I drove around and sold a cavalier with a momo wheel without any problems. When it comes time to sell you can always put it back on. Usually if you mess with them you need to have them reset at the dealer which costs an hour or work or a 100 bucks. Just tell them you need them to reset the SDM to the car or something like that.

just keep the stuff and replace them when you sell it... or if dont replace them, all you have to do is notify the dmv and the buyer that the vehicle has no airbags
