http://www.racetronix.com/RX-FLT1-FPKG-2.html

I installed this pump a few months ago. I've been hearing of alot of lt1s needing fuel pumps lately. Maybe its the ethanol in our gas.

I used the trap door method also fwiw. If you need info do a search, there are even some how to's floating around.

How much cheaper are you talking? The best thing about this kit is its directly plug and play. Other kits will require you to potentially have to remove the fuel pump bucket that it sits in and do other modifications. IMO, even if the car will stay stock, this kit is definitely worth it.

The fuel pump is in the back, inside the fuel tank.

If you're staying stock, stick with a stock pump. Or you can just buy the Walbro pump itself without the harness. All that is over kill on a stock car, you won't see any HP gains.

I have just the Walbro pump in my LT1 car.

If you feel like fabbing up your harness go right ahead. Nothing is "overkill" on that kit, in fact the pump is a Walbro pump. Its just a question of do you feel like scrounging up all the parts and fabricating parts to fit the pump in, or do you want a plug and play kit.

Fabbing up a harness?! If there is something different on a b-body than a f-body no need to fab anything up, just plug and play. The harness they sell is to get more voltage/cureent to the pump. His car is stock, no need for any of that. Just get a Walbro pump and call it a day, unless this is the beginning of more mods to come.

I'm not telling him to get the electrical harness. Lets make this visual:

VS.

Both walbro pumps. One is plug and play, one is not.
