engine and trans swap Ok here's the deal. I have an 85 z28 with a 350 carbed engine and a t5. I bought a 91 vert with a blown engine. Sunday I removed the engine and auto trans from the vert. Today I am planning to swap over accessories to a 305 motor that I bought, install the engine and do a t5 swap on the vert. The current engine on the 85 z28 which is the 350 I plan on putting it on a stand and completely looking it over. Clean it up a bit then once I replace valve springs and cam, I will eventually put that engine in the Vert.

I honestly have no idea what you just said but I did see 350 and t5 in the same sentence. I just thought I'd warn you that you'll pop that t5 behind a 350 probably the second you put it in first gear.

doubt it because the 85 i have the t5 in has a modified 350 and it held up fine. Of course I don't have slicks on it and don't abuse it much so it'll hold. Just a few burn outs here and there and its held for about 6 months and still shifts smoothly
