Default FEELER: 95 Formula A4, SLO County

Gauging interest in this '95 Pontiac Firebird Formula.Located in Grover Beach/Arroyo Grande,15 minutes north of Santa Maria,15 minutes south of San Luis Obispo.

This car is equipped with the fuel injected LT1 350ci 5.7L V8.Automatic with transmission perform mode, power everything except seats, cloth interior, tilt wheel, cruise control,A/C & heat works great, rear window defroster, factory AM/FM and single CD player,EQ adjuster with 6 speakers throughout the car.Removeable glass T-Tops,great for coastal weather.Fast car with a bunch of neck-snapping low-end torque. This is one of the limited amount of California cars that received the dual catalytic converter system in late '95,which didn't come standard on these cars until '96,and is rated at 285HP & 335TQ.Car is mechanically all stock.Smog equipment has never been tampered with.Car has an aftermarket keyless entry/alarm with 2 keyfobs and aftermarket aluminum rims.It was repainted before I bought it from a dealer in Bakersfield. Was told it was repainted due to the OEM paint being faded.Carfaxed it before I bought it to see if it was in any accidents, came up clean. Not sure who did the paintwork, but it looks very nice.

The Good:

Clean title in hand
Less than 81,700 Original Miles
Runs,drives,shifts & looks great
Transmission perform mode, a nice feature in 94-95 cars only
GU5 Factory option for a high performance 3.23 geared posi rear axle
16" Eagle alloy rims, with like-new tires (stock size) with only about 5,000 miles on them
Well-maintained with recent coolant flush, new thermostat
Recent air filter, fuel filter replacement, and recent power steering flush
Oil & oil filter changed every 2,500 miles since i've had it
Driver's side power window motor is also fairly new
Car easily obtains over 20MPG highway even with this motor
Reliable car,has never stalled, broke down or left me stranded
Garaged since I've had it,paint is in very nice condition and shines great
No weird odors in the interior,I am a non-smoker
Last year for the mod friendly OBD1 computer
Vented Optispark, never had any optispark issues

The Bad:

Both headlight motors make the notorious grinding noise after being shut (headlights still work,I just bring them up and simply unplug the motor when I need them). If you don't mind the look of them being up all the time then this isn't a big deal, otherwise they will need to be rebuilt or replaced if you want to daily drive this at night.I never got around to fixing them because I hardly ever drive at night.
Leaks a little oil,but not enough to show any drop in oil level on the oil dipstick in a 2,500 mile duration.I personally keep a strict eye on the oil level to make sure it hasnt dropped.
A couple holes on the driver's side backseat.Been there since before I had it.
Headliner fabric around T-tops slightly worn.
Cigarrette lighter has broken through the center console.
A little paint on the radio preset buttons has worn off.
The reclining lever on the driver's seat is broken.Seat can still adjust with a tool (I can still use my hand, but it takes a little strength).
CD player likes to skip on burned CD's,but plays fine on normal discs, radio reception works great.
A few minor nicks on the nose of the car from road rocks (common on these cars)
Passenger sun visor is broken,it stays up there and looks fine but if you try to use it sideways it will fall down.

I'm being upfront about the minor flaws with this car to just to filter out the people expecting a 10 out of 10 perfect car.As stated, this car is in very nice condition overall, but it does have it's minor flaws.I am considering selling because I just don't drive it enough to justify keeping it.I only drive it a couple days a week then it sits in my garage.Registration is current through September '08.Car books for 5,800 in good condition, so with those minor flaws I am asking $4,300 CASH ONLY.No joy riders, you must show me that you have some cash in hand or convince me otherwise if you want to test drive it.Open to offers, but please do not bother wasting my time if you're going to severely low ball me,as I am not desperate at all to sell.SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY.And finally, this car would be sold in AS-IS condition.

You can PM me here or email me at loz0r@hotmail.com with any questions.

Nope, just a couple looky lou's on the off-street parking here and 1 phone call, but nothing yet.I guess I got gas prices working against me here.A lot of people just assume that these cars get truck-like MPG
