new TSP LT's & ORY review.
I figured I'd give my review. I just installed them on a tech member's car here this weekend (99 SS w/ a LS6 swap).
Forethoughts: They look beautiful, ceramic coated, well made pieces. The y-pipe is a 4-piece y-pipe, why, I don't know.
Install: Had the car on a lift and they slid right in place, bolted them up. The headers hung a little low eating up some of the ground clearance. We had a little difficulty putting the y-pipe into place using clamps. The y-pipe hung low as well (granted the car is a lowered vehicle, stock height would have no issues). We welded the y-pipe to his TSP "rumbler" cat back. All was good until I went to put the steering knuckle back in, it just wouldn't fit. I had to clearance it using a grinder and afterwards the fitting was very close.
Afterthoughts: The car sounds fantastic (I'm digging the rumbler catback, similar to the slp LM) and the gains were very noticeable. I am not sure if poly motor mounts would help the clearance issue at all, but I would give it a try if I were you, there's no better time to do in anyways. I wouldn't have a problem running these headers on my car if the poly's helped, I would probably get a custom y-pipe, or take the TSP y-pipe to an exhaust shop and have it welded and tucked up better (for lowered cars I mean, stock height would be fine). The tech members sn is F.Rojas, you can request pics from him if you like.
EDIT: Texas Speed confirmed that poly motor mounts would cure steering knuckle clearance issue.

I talked to Texas Speed today and asked if the clearance issue with the steering knuckle was normal. They said that they have ran into that problem before, with higher mileage motors where the motor mounts have gotten sloppy. They said that they usually install new poly motor mounts to cure the problem. They also said that it would be close, because after all, it's a 1 7/8" header.
I want them!
