man i have been trying to do to the same thing for like the past week couldnt drill the rivits out gave up

Which method, the shoebox method? I copied the pictures to a Word document then printed them out. My pictures were a little bigger than they are in real life, so my first hole was off about 1/4" when I drilled the hole like the one in this pic.



I just used a 3/8 drill bit for the holes. 1/2" would have been better for getting sockets in to tighten the nuts afterwards, thats where I spent the most time.

This pic really helped:


Because looking at the other two pics, I couldnt figure out where they were on the door. You have to pull the harness out of the way to get at them.

I think I used a 3/16" drill to drill out the rivets.

I had some bolts laying around that I used to attach the new motor then greased up the rails with brake caliper grease (I left my lithium grease at my dads).

how did you not drill them out? Are you using the right size bit and is the bit sharp? they should pop off fairly easy. I would make sure your rivets are still good too because if you attempted it and couldnt do it most likely they are damaged and able to break off and break your window
