Default Lt1 Tuners in so-cal?

I have been trying to find a tuner for my T/A here in so-cal. And it seems to be a problem. CMS might be able to do it but thats iffy because he doesnt have the LT1 tuning software and would need to get it. so im trying to find someone.

ssfast99 owns HDR performance in Hesperia. He specialises in LS, but may be able to help with your LT. Give him a search and see what he may be able to do. Hope this helps.

Curious question, is it just OBDI LT1's you can't tune just yet, or all LT1's?

Tad Banzuke did my old LT1 about 12 years ago when I lived down there. Really cool guy, always willing to help you out and even back then he was very knowledgeable, can't imagine he lost his touch.

George at Express Auto has done a lot of bad *** LT's and he'll even show them to you in shop. Its a small shop in the LA/SouthPas area. He has the software and a whole lot of experience with LT1's. A couple guys on this forum with LT1's had him tune there car and are happy with them.

I look at it as a benefit more than a drawback.

I can do 92-95 LT1's, as well as TPI's, but I am only available on Saturdays and my weekends are pretty full up right now with my plans to move next month. I might be available on the 27th, or the 4th.

What about some of the 95s (like mine) that have the OBD II port but the OBD I computer (or is it the other way around...)

You are correct FrogHawk
It is an obd1 comp with an obd2 connector.

The 94,95 lt1 cars are easy to tune.

The 96,97 lt1 cars are a litle more difficult to deal with due to the lack of software options available to tune them. Most of the time we prefer to convert obd2 lt1's over to obd1 in order to tune them properly.

92,93 lt1's are the real bastards in the group in that they need to have chips made for hem.

Thanks
Mike Haddad
