kooks or american racing are the best but expect to pay over 1k
on a budged the ebay ones are the best bang for the buck but need a little more work then the others.
Most people find some somewhere in the middle, the search button is your friend!!!

You may want to look into TSP's new headers. They have been getting positive reviews and make good power (not to mention the low price). I have personally been happy with all of TSP's products and would not hesitate to buy from them.

pacesetters fit like a dream... i ordered mine from texas speed it was around 600 for them and the y pipe. don't do the same thing i did and order their y pipe though i don't know if they cut up the pacesetters ory like they do their ory but it was quite some work to get all the pieces together not to mention they aren't sealed so they leak.
i got the ceramic coated ones and no rust yet

Pacesetters or Ebays are the cheapest @ under $300 good quality and great performance for the money.

Edelbrocks Victors and TSP 1 7/8's are right in the middle. The Edelbrocks are stepped from 1 3/4 to 1 7/8's and are only $410. The TSPs are stainless and will work awesome with a stroker or a big hit later down the road. The TSPs go for $480

ARH. KOOKS and QTP's are arguably the best performing headers on the market, but they will cost you twice as much for only minimal additional gains ie ARH will make 2-4 RWHP over the Pacesetters but cost an additional $400 over the pacesetters. The additional cost outweighs the additional power the car will make.IMO

Both times I have installed a Pacesetter Y went smoothly, maybe you got one that was bent somehow. I would strongly recommend getting the no-crush style clamps if you are not getting everything welded, using regular band clamps will make it a bitch to take everything off later.

yeah i was pretty sure pacesetter y came in one piece... i got the tsp one for an extra 15 bucks i thought it would be better because it had mandrel bends and wasn't crushed... well it arrived cut into five pieces... had to slide them into each other and then it was a bitch to even get the clamps close enough to sealed... lesson learned more money doesn't always mean better lol

Pacesetter Y's come in two pieces and fit fine. The TSP Y I installed once was a five-piece and was much more difficult to install.

Exclamation LT Headers

I have the TSP 1 7/8 LT and there ORY... the headers sound good hooked up to my TSP 3" catback rumbler exhaust.... They have great power gains... But if you have a lowered car like I do you wont have much ground clearence at all. I also had to get my motor mounts swapped out, because I had a clearence issue with the headers and sterring knuckle. Also instead of using the clamps I just got the ORY welded....
